Higher Education Management Branch of China Association of Higher Education is a national professional research institute under the Association of China Higher Education Society, and a mass organization engaged in the study of higher education management. Its predecessor is China Institute of Higher Education Management, which founded in 1984. In 2003, according to the spirit of [2003]33 notified by China Higher Education Association, China Institute of Higher Education Management was renamed as a sub-institution of China Higher Education Society. Members of which are mainly the higher education institution rectors and administrators, researchers of higher education administration, and educational administrators.?The Secretariat is located at NAEA.
Regulation of Higher Education Management Branch specified: The association is guided by theory of Marxism Leninism, Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiaoping theory, "Three Represents" and Scientific Outlook on Development; adhere to the party's basic line, carry out the principle of integrating theory with practice and the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend". Mission of the association is to carry out research on higher education management theory, policy and important practical issues; to explore the law of higher education management; to summarize the practical experience of higher education management; and to serve for deepening the reform of higher education management, promoting higher education management innovation and management team building, improving the management level of higher education and promoting the sustained and healthy development of Higher Education.
The main business scope includes:carrying out higher education management research program; organizing internal and international academic exchange activities to promote international cooperation in higher education management sector; popularizing scientific knowledge of higher education management; developing higher education management consulting service and training program; organizing research projects and applying research projects for government funds or related organizations; editing and publishing books and information about higher education management and organizing selections of excellent academic achievements.
